UNIDENTIFIED : 1900s ORIGINAL PAIR [2] OF MANUSCRIPT NOTEBOOKS WITH HANDWRITTEN ENTRIES REGARDING THE CORDWAINERS GUILD IN LONDON ENGLAND

8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. On offer are two [2] charming, original manuscript notebooks containing handwritten information regarding the members of the ancient Cordwainer's Guild. Cordwainers have existed as exclusive shoemakers and leather workers since the middle ages. The first book is titled, "An Alphabetical List of the Liverymen of the Cordwainers Company of the City of London who have died since the year 1800" detailing deaths until as late as 1915 or so. The second notebook contains an "Index to the names of Cordwainers from the 12th Cent". The 8 x 6½ inch books are overall G+ with a few nicks and weaknesses here and there.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Good+
